A Little Visit with Cali and Luke.....

My friend Cali and her son Luke were in town from Louisiana for a couple quick days this week, so Austin and I got to spend the afternoon with them Friday. We took them to the childrens museum- which was sweaty and HOT, of course the boys did not care but the moms did- and did lunch... We didn't get too many pics, but here are a few:

Luke and Austin hamming it up after lunch....Is that a Jim face or what?!

Luke was great at showing Austin how some of the toys in the play area worked....

Austin hanging out in the ball pit.

Little Rays Fan.....

We are quickly becoming bigger fans of the Tampa Rays baseball team here (ok, let's say John, Austin, and Amanda!), so I decided to get Autin a t-shirt to show his team spirit.............

Showing off his new shirt for the camera!

Big fan dad and little fan Austin getting ready to watch a game....

Austin chose the third baseman Longoria's tee....very busy digging in the toy box!

Playing cars with Aunt Mandy- she is SO good at entertaining me!

New Park.....

Austin and I went and checked out a new park close to our house this morning- him and dad had already scoped it out one day and said it was pretty neat so I decided to take Austin again....It's a great shady park that is on the water and the absolute best part (according to my son!) is the little flower garden with fountains across the street!

Austin loved driving the firetruck at this playground.....

Ready, set, run! Austin is definately on the move these days!

Little man on a big bench....staring at lizards!

Making his way through the thick grass......

Austin kept staring at this statue in this fountain and looking at me like, "who is that lady??"

Looking at all the lily pads in the little pond.....

A good bathtime mohawk pic after getting really sweaty at playgroup yesterday!

Austin's big birthday party.....

Well it really wasn't a big party....but we wanted to celebrate with our families so we waited until we were on vacation with everyone in Grayton to throw an actual birthday party for Austin. We had a great time, lots of good cake, and were so happy to be able to spend Austin's "big day" with everyone!

We had a baseball themed party for Austin complete with his own (not so little!) cake!

Sweet birthday boy sitting in his chair, done with dinner and ready for cake AND THEN.....

This would be how the birthday cake made us end up....in tears! We are not sure if the candle scared him or what? But I think I said this earlier- he did the same thing at home on his actual birthday with his little cake!

Lots of good stuff to unwrap!

Reading my new Harry the Dog books with cousin Courtney.

Grayton Beach Vacation

Well, we are just getting back from our weeklong (not long enough!!) Grayton Beach vacation and getting back into the swing of things....My parents and my sister, John's sister's and brother's family all joined us- John's parent's were greatly missed due to a last minute medical emergency. We had a great time spending the week lounging on the beach, swimming, riding bikes, and having lots of great homecooked meals! We love the relaxed, laid back atmosphere up there and hope to live there one day!!

Here we all are for family picture night!

Aunt Mandy and Austin at the beach......

Austin doing one of the things he did best on vacation- hanging at the pool!

We spent lots of time at the community pool on our little street with Austin- they had a shower to rinse off sand before you got in to swim and Austin thought it was so funny to rinse off under the faucet. When he got out of the pool, he'd walk right over to it for someone to turn it on for him!

This pic is too funny! John and Austin dug a little hole in the sand and then Austin hopped in so John buried him up to his waist......

John and Austin having fun in the water- Austin was definantly a little more intimidated by the bigger beach waves in the panhandle than he is at our beach here at home!

I love this picture- Dad and son hangjing out at the beach!
