Happy Valentines Day!

Ok, so I am REALLY bad at finding time to keep up with the blog lately!!! I will try to do better.....So here is a rundown of what's been going on with us in the last 2 months.....john had a birthday, i had a birthday, austin got his first haircut, we all went to my parent's house for mardi gras, AND austin has two new teeth, is crawling like a mad man and will not surprise us when he's walking in a month! Here's quite a few pics below to recap everything- enjoy!

Austin is Six Months Old!

Austin turned six months old this Wednesday, and John and I can't believe it.... the months have passed by so quickly! Before we know it he will be a year old! Austin is doing great and doing so many new things: sitting up, trying to crawl, eating fruits and veggies and lots of babbling and smiling too. At his six month visit today he weighed in at 18 1/2 pounds and 28 1/4 inches- he will certainly be tall like Dad! Austin has definately changed our lives and been a learning experience for both of us, but we wouldn't change it for the world! We are so blessed to have such a healthy, wonderful, sweet boy!

Our baby boy- this seems like ages ago!

Austin with dad- only an hour old!

Austin with Santa at a Kindermusik party we just went to- I was waiting for a melt down but he was more interested in looking out at all the other kids in the class.

This was on our way to the Christmas boat parade last weekend decked out in his Christmas pj's and hat...my friend Phaidra gave him this hat that is so cute with his name embroidered on it!

just enjoying some sweet potatoes.....

Austin loved banging on some bowls i gave him the other day...future musician??

Moved up to the big boy tub.....I love this pic! I think he just realized the other night he could chew on this pelican squirt toy with no hands AND splash at the same time!

Turkey Day Adventure.....

We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving holiday. We packed the car up and set off on a big adventure traveling with Austin AND Bailey to visit with John's parents and family at Lake Sinclair in Georgia....yes, we took our chances as this was both of theirs first road trip! We are happy to report all went well and the normally 6 to 7 hour car ride only turned in to 9 hours. We only had one major blowout diaper on the way up where the outfit actually had to just be thrown away in the rest stop trash can! Austin enjoyed his very first turkey day and we had a wonderful holiday spending time with all of John's family!

Sunrise at Lake Sinclair....yes, we were up each day at this time with you know who!

Our little pumpkin!

Swinging with dad at the lakehouse....

Austin rocking with his great uncle Johnny.

Austin loved playing with his grandparents each morning in the exersaucer.

I love this smile! Evidently Austin actually knows what the camera is for when we break it out now :)

Just hanging out in the hammock with my dad! Austin loves swinging in our hammock- he actually fell asleep in it the other afternoon....

Happy Halloween!!

We hope everybody had a great Halloween! We didn't dress Austin up for his first halloween this year- just some halloween pj's, but we all had fun sitting outside and handing out candy to trick or treaters AND we also celebrated Aunt Mandy's 29th birthday with some cupcakes and ice cream.....

John and Austin having fun carving his first pumpkin over the weekend. Austin liked touching the slimy insides from the pumpkin!

We thought Austin would look much cooler for pumpkin carving in his sunglasses!

Dad and Austin with the finished product!

We almost have a picture of all four of us looking at the camera here- bailey has a good habit of turning his head as soon as you take the picture.

Back to Blogging.....

We are back to blogging FINALLY! We have no excuse except that we have a 5 month old......that's right Austin is almost 5 months old and weighing in now at just over 17 pounds! I have decided to stay at home with him full time and he sure does keep me busy! This is no easy job I will tell you, but he is constantly changing and it is rewarding watching him grow :) Just a little bit of what has been going on lately: austin is now sitting in his bumbo chair and highchair, he has been eating rice cereal for about 2 weeks now, we've taken him swimming and he loves it, and we had a nice visit with my mom/grammy a couple weeks ago.

What a cute beach boy! We took this pic one morning before a stroll through some botanical gardens near us - by some strange coincidence austin fell asleep as soon as we got there???.....

I'm just a Saints fan lounging in my hammock......

Austin playing with his grammy- they had lots of fun together!

Austin's first try sitting in the big boy highchair we got him- he seems to like it most days.

Austin hanging out in his bumbo chair.....

As you can tell, Austin was SOOOOO excited LSU beat the Gators!

September 2007

John and I celebrated our 4th anniversary yesterday-- I can't believe it has been 4 years already! Time flies when you are having fun.....Last week while we were at my parents house, we left Austin with his grandparents and John and I got to spend the night out at the Beau Rivage. We had a great dinner and slept really well! Last night John made us a delicious dinner of chicken parmigiana and we watched the Saints game AND he also brought me home flowers! I have to admit I am a very lucky girl to have such a wonderful, supportive and caring husband- I love you very much!!

We're back from Mandeville!

We spent the Labor Day weekend visiting with my parents in Mandeville. We all had a great time- as you can imagine especially the grandparents! Austin did fabulous on his first airplane trip and was a good sport the entire weekend- He certainly got lots of spoiling from his grammy and grampy! My mom had a party on saturday to celebrate my dad's birthday, and my parents were nice enough to watch Austin while John and I spent a night at the Beau Rivage for our anniversary. Thank you, Thank you!! We also got to see our friends Cali & Jim and Amanda & her husband Kelly came down from Jackson. We miss everyone and can't wait to see you again! Here's some pics from the trip.......

Just a few pics of what obviously goes on at the grandparents house when mom and dad leave for the night!

Aunt Mandy and our sleeping boy wiped out from partying too hard :)

Austin and his proud grandparents!

Austin in his new pj's- Geaux Saints!

I had to add this one of my dad with Austin.....This was the morning after we had left Austin with them for the night. Taking care of babies is hard work- doesn't my dad look wiped out??!!
